The Soft Filament Patent

The Soft Filament: In this technical innovation, heat sinks are positioned directly on the filament and dissipate the heat from the diodes. They look like small fins on either side of the LED filament. This means we are no longer reliant on glass bulbs and cooling gases. Entirely new configurations and designs are now possible at a stroke.

Another positive side effect of this technology: thanks to the improved and more consistent cooling directly at the filament, a significantly higher lumen output is possible. 

Naturally, the Soft Filament is not only used in the free design range, but also within our other series to take advantage of its positive properties. The best part is – we are getting ever closer to the good old incandescent bulbs, not only in terms of light colour and brightness, but also visually!
